Tia Fires Back at Negative Comments About Her Weight
First of all, I'm human and when people say mean things like, "Wow! She hasn't lost that baby weight yet?" it's disgusting. It's sad that we live in a society that's so focused on what you look like after giving birth. There are people who'd rather do that instead of realize that I brought a beautiful child into the world—I brought life!
When I read that negative comment, it just reminded me that everyone is so stuck on looks. It hurt. It really did. I am human. After awhile, I have to focus on how I feel about myself and if I'm comfortable with myself, then I'm OK.
I was happy when Tamera offered to work out with me. I thought that was really cool. It definitely helps to have a workout buddy. That person will keep you going. He or she pumps you up. If you want to quit, they're there to say, "No, let's go!"
I enjoyed doing the cardio ball with my sister, but my favorite workout that we did was the Richard Simmons class. That was so much fun! I grew up with Richard Simmons. I love what he does with his community. It was nice to meet him. He's a great, great personality!
Hosting the fashion show fundraiser for Wendy Raquel Robinson's Amazing Grace Conservatory was just so wonderful. She's a good friend of mine. Seeing the kids do their thing reminded me of my sister and I back in the day when we used to spend our time perfecting our craft. I think it's great when you have outlets for young kids to be able to work on their craft and discover what they really want to do with their lives. It's great that Wendy was able to create that outlet for these kids.
