No Sledding & Spirits for Pregnant Lady Tamera!
I had a really fun time filming Hollywood Girls Night. Ali Landry, Ali Sweeney and the other ladies were just sweethearts. I loved how the girls were comfortable being candid with each other. I felt safe to talk about whatever. The girls had a great vibe. I brought some of my favorite all-natural hemp lotion that tightens your skin for everyone to enjoy. I couldn't drink with the ladies because I was pregnant at the time and I had to keep it a secret.
I didn't hesitate when Tia called and asked me to come to Utah because I knew our issues would eventually get resolved, as they always do. I knew it was a great time to go over there and actually handle our issues face to face instead of over the phone. Plus, having Jerome come along with me was a big help. He told my sister and I that we have two valid points and that we have to get to a point where we're not judging each other on those points. We have to see where the other person is coming from without being defensive, and see that it's coming from love. With the help of Jerome, we were able to talk and get everything resolved. (Side note: Jerome can make anything fun. We can be doing the laundry and we will just laugh and laugh. I knew I was going to have a great time with my little sidekick there.)
When Tia and I first see each other, we did a little dance. (We also did it when we said goodbye at the end of the episode.) We never practice it! We do it sporadically. We know exactly when to do it, but it's not something that we rehearse. It's something we've been doing for a while. It puts me in a good mood. I love that part!
Because I was pregnant during the filming of this episode, I had to be very careful with the sledding. I didn't want to tell anybody that I was pregnant yet because my family made a pact not to break that kind of news until 8-12 weeks in the pregnancy. I wanted to go, but I couldn't go because i wanted to make sure it was safe for the baby. My sister started questioning certain things. So, I asked my doctor. I was told I could go sledding as long as it wasn't crazy. I only did the children's bunny slope.
When Tia told me she thought she might be pregnant, I wanted to tell her so bad about my situation. But I knew my family would be ecstatic if they knew I was pregnant, so I wanted to make sure it was 100 percent sure before letting the cat out of the bag. I was going to be happy if my sister was indeed expecting, if she was happy. But I felt like she wasn't sure what she wanted, so I was just as nervous as she was. It just felt great being there for Tia during that period of uncertainty.
It was great to see Tia filming a Christmas musical because she had never done anything like it before. It was great to see her shining and happily loving her job and doing it with ease. She made it look easy! She did an amazing job.
I was plesantly surprised at how well Tia took me having to leave Utah early for an audition. It showed me that we were definitely making some progress with our comuncation skills. It felt like we were moving in the right direction.
