Tamera Opens Up About Her Relationship With Hubby Adam
You've all witnessed Tamera and Adam's relationship in action on Style's hit show Tia & Tamera. Now, the mom-to-be dishes about everything from what makes her marriage work to what she loves most about her hubby! Read on for that...
What's the dymanic of your and Adam's relationship?
Adam's the realist. I'm always in the clouds. I'm Miss Positive. He always brings me back to Earth. I think that's why we have a great balance. I'm usually all over the place. He is always grounded—no matter what! When he hears good news, he stays even-keeled. When he hears bad news, he stays even-keeled. I'm literally all over the place, so he grounds me.
What do you love most about your husband?
My favorite thing about Adam is that he loves everything life has to offer. He stops and smells the roses all of the time! He is able to live in the moment. I also love that he can adapt to anything. My friend invited me to the Rainbow Room, which is known for Goth, rocker kind of people, and that's how my friend is. Adam walked in there and discovered who the people really are, whereas the majority of people would just judge and say, "Ugh! I'm uncomfortable here. These people are so different than me." That's not how Adam is at all.
Is there anything about Adam that really bugs you?
The best thing you love in people are sometimes the thing you don't like. That said, Adam can never sit still. His mom said that when Adam was a baby, he used to hate when he was faced toward her. He always had to be faced out. Later, he would eat at the dinner table faced out because he couldn't wait to get back outside and experience everything. I'm like, Adam, you need to sit still! Rest your mind! He'll look at me and say, "I can't! I can't!" But Adam loves to experience everything—traveling, shopping, dancing.
What kinds of clothes does Adam like to see you wear?
Adam likes me in dresses that are form-fitting because he loves my curves. So, I shop for dresses because Adam and I go to fun dinners. That's the Napa lifestyle: Going out and enjoying good food, good wine and good people.
Do you and Adam like to coordinate outfits when going out?
We complement each other naturally. My husband has tons of ties, so if I'm wearing a gray dress, he'll just pull out a gray tie. He doesn't necessarily have to wear a gray suit—that's just too much. You don't want to come out looking like twins. That's just weird.
