Tia Encourages Everyone to Give Yoga a Try
Filming the yoga DVDs was a lot of fun. It wasn't like filming a television show where the only thing you have to do is memorize lines. I had to really know the moves. I also had to make sure I was in sync with Tara Stiles, the amazing yoga instructor I did the DVD with. It was like a dance. It was challenging! I did about 200 ab workouts in one day. Afterward, I was so sore!
The reason I did the DVD was to inspire others to give yoga a try. Usually, people tend to think that yoga is only about zoning out and creating a sense of balance factor in your life. I believe yoga is a very, very good workout. Not only is it a good workout to help you lose weight, it's a good rehabilitator. It really helps ailments. For me, it really helped with my back injury.
Yes, yoga can look intimidating. When you're first introduced to yoga and you see these people doing crazy poses, it's easy to think that there's no way your body can do that. But yoga is not about being perfect. Yoga is for everyone. My yoga DVD will show that!
