Miguel on Making Up and Making Over
It absolutely felt amazing to clear the air with Olivia this week after our fight at the Gatsby launch party. We both realized why the situation happened, and it's always important to hear both sides. I'm glad she realized that I was just being the diva I can be at times. That's why we love each other, because we both know that life has its up and downs but in the end we're meant to be Frick and Frack.
I definitely will try to do the same with Tracy. I feel it's important to always maintain a level of communication with someone you work with, even if they call you names and act like you have a big head. If I do, it's because I love what I do. They have a strong gay male in the mix, so some of her attitude is understandable, but I have inner admiration for Tray.
When Christy told me I was doing the next Gatsby2Go image-consulting gig, I was thrilled. I love fashion as much as my girls do. Hair, makeup and clothes, to me, make picture-perfect memories forever.
Still, when I found out Christy was coming along, I thought to myself, "That's definitely different." I wasn't nervous, just thrown off a bit. She's my boss, but she's always as real as they come, and she was definitely trying to help. Even though she came on strong, I knew that she was trying to make sure Amy was presented with every option. But, in the end, a makeover that works is one that the recipient enjoys and will keep up on her own.
After we got done with her overhaul, Amy looked amazing. You can always tell when they love it, because they start feeling like themselves immediately, which is so cute. I truly feel that if she sticks with the guidelines we gave her that she definitely will be on the right track to finding Mr. Right, not Mr. What the Hell Was I Thinking!
