Baby Boy Rancic Has Arrived! Giuliana & Bill Announce the Birth of Their Son

It's tutto bene for Giuliana and Bill Rancic—their bambino is finally here! After years of struggling to conceive and Giuliana's public battle with breast cancer, the couple welcomed a healthy son via gestational carrier in Denver Wednesday night at 10:40 p.m. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces, Edward Duke Rancic is the perfect anniversary present for Giuliana and Bill, who will be celebrating five years of wedded bliss this Saturday, September 1.

Bill tweeted early this moring, "The 'Duke' has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words...We did it!"

"This baby is such a gift," G told myStyle after the season-five finale of Giuliana & Bill, their hit Style Network series, which has documented their emotional journey to parenthood. "If only one child is in the cards for us, that is more than enough. Bill and I are just so grateful that we are able to have one at all."

Fans of the series had been anticipating the arrival of the littlest Rancic ever since the expectant parents announced the baby's gender on Father's Day.

To say 2012 is the Year of the Rancics is definitely an understatement. After a lumpectomy and, later, a double mastectomy in late 2011, Giuliana entered the new year in good health. In February, she and Bill opened their highly successful restaurant, RPM Italian, in Chicago. (They're eyeing Vegas for a second location.) In April, it was announced that they will host Ready for Love, an NBC dating series produced by Eva Longoria. That exciting news was overshadowed just a few days later by word that they were expecting their first baby via gestational surrogacy, meaning the child is 100 percent biologically theirs. And now, they've got a newborn along for the ride.

What's next—baby's red carpet debut? G said in June that she plans to help kick off the upcoming awards season like she's done every year. "I will be taking a maternity leave, of course, but I definitely plan to host the Emmys red carpet [September 23]."

OK, maybe we're reaching. But we can't wait to lay eyes on the little one!
