Giuliana Talks Birthday Surprise, Baby Moon & Time With Duke

How were you feel during your last day on E! News before your three-month maternity leave?
While I felt sad to be leaving my work family, I was so incredibly excited to be on my way to wait for the little guy! All of my nerves had subsided and, at that point, it was just pure excitement. It felt like we had been
waiting forever for that time to come.

How has it been adjusting to not working?
I adjusted fine to maternity leave! Being a mom is still a lot of work, so I was constantly busy and running around. Those three months were incredible and I am so grateful to have had that time with Duke.

Your E! News family surprised you with a birthday party! Any special memories?
It just so happened that my last day before my maternity leave was also my birthday, and my E! News family sent me off with a wonderful party! There was an incredible spread from Dylan's Candy Bar and Cold Stone and, of course, the most adorable gift for baby Duke—Dior sneakers! He is still too little to wear them, but he will grow into them soon enough!

Bill whisked you away to Tucson, Arizona, for your birthday! How amazing was that?!
One of our favorite places in the world is Miraval in Tuscon, Arizona, and I couldn't think of a better place to spend my birthday! It is such a beautiful, calming place. I love traveling there every year.

You went to Vail, Colorado, for your baby moon. What did you love about your time there?
We were so excited to finally meet the baby that we could hardly sit still. We filled our days with lots of activities to keep from going crazy with excitement! We went on hikes and went fly fishing (not my best performance!) and I was also able to shoot my cover for Health Magazine out there. Colorado is so gorgeous. It was the perfect backdrop for this shoot!
