Giuliana Gives the Scoop on Her Mom-Jo, Maternity Leave & More
Have you lost your pre-mom mojo? How do you keep your mom-jo, as you call it, alive?
Not at all! I am still the same person I was before Duke arrived—I'm just a mommy now! I am obviously more focused on Duke and being a good mom than I am with my hair and makeup, but I still find the time to glam up a bit when necessary.
How was it spending your maternity leave in Chicago?
I am still here in Chicago! I will be here until early November, so it will be a total of three months. Bill and I absolutely love Chicago and we are so happy to be here during this special time in our lives. Bill's entire family is here in the Chicago area and my parents aren't far in D.C., so we love being close to family. We definitely plan to come back to Chicago to live in the future, but we are also excited to get back to work in Los Angeles in a few weeks. I miss my E! News and Fashion Police extended family!
How did the interior décor of your new L.A. home turn out?
I know it sounds crazy, but our new house is still in the works. There are some pieces of furniture that have arrived and it is looking amazeballs, but the final project won't be complete for a few more weeks. Lonni Paul is our fabulous interior designer and nursery decorator. She is doing incredible work!
What do you love most about your closet?
My closet is done! It's full of my clothes and shoes, and I am obsessed! Lisa Adams from LA Closet Design is amazing and she did such a beautiful job designing my closet. It's definitely one of my favorite parts of the new house!
We saw you open some unique baby shower gifts, like the baby aviators. What were some of your favorite presents that you received?
How cute are those baby aviators?! I can't wait to dress Duke up! We received so many unbelievable, generous gifts it would be hard to pick favorites. Our restaurant partners, the Melmans, actually had custom onesies made for Duke that were screen printed with "RPM," which we loved! We received so many creative gifts—Bill and I are so blessed!
