Adrienne: "I Believe in Love at First Sight..."
I was freaked out when Ashley suggested I try online dating. It sounded so desperate! I was nervous that people would find out I was on a site like that. And what if I met a psycho killer??
I prefer to meet guys through friends. Mutual friends are the best! Because at a friend's B-day dinner party, you know the guy was invited—so that's an automatic co-sign, and you can inquire about the person.
But you know what first attracted me to Keston, my online date? His Yankee fitted hat! None of the other guys I saw really interested me. Some didn't have a pic, for one thing, and that was scary.
This was definitely my first time bringing a friend on a date. He was a stranger, and even my FIRST dates are usually with guy friends I've known for a while. (For the record, my dream date would be going to the circus, or an amusement park. Something fun and friendly, so it's not awkwardly romantic.)
I believe in love at first sight, and Keston wasn't it. I think I'm gonna let destiny play matchmaker from now on!
There were some mixed emotions about the OK shoot. It was exciting because I love reinventing myself but difficult because I had a vision in mind that was different from what they wanted. My style tends to be eclectic and changes depending on my mood. But it's edgy! Fun! And always New York!
I absolutely LOVE doing photo shoots, capturing a feeling or vibe depending on the look for the shoot. We did three looks: an Old Hollywood look that I loved; a hooded gold dress that was fun to play with; and a Dolce & Gabbana button-down with a black peekaboo bra and floral pencil skirt.
And no, Afrika did not have to get naked, because I really did like what she did with my style. I even sent her a thank-you note and an apology!
