Adrienne Bailon on Tattoos, Ne-Yo and the Empire Girls Premiere

BFFs Adrienne Bailon and Julissa Bermudez are taking on the concrete jungle side by side on Style! Adrienne has a lot to say about the smashing premiere of Empire Girls, from removing her Rob Kardashian tattoo to convincing her boss she's got the drive to succeed...

It can get a bit annoying that people still ask about me about Rob Kardashian. I don't regret my relationship at all, but I'd love for everyone to move on.  We both have! We are all cool, though. They are a great family, and I love them.

Still, on the day I had my tattoo removed, I was angry at myself for even being in that position because of a bad decision I'd made. Julissa's jokes didn't help, because I didn't need to hear anything else negative on top of how awful I felt. The place I went to actually gave me a numbing shot (very painful), but I hear it's less painful than feeling the laser. I could smell my flesh burning, which is insane! And once the shot wore off and I could feel my butt, the area was really sore.

I'm still in the process of removal! You have to wait four weeks between sessions. And it'll take up to 10 sessions for it to be completely gone.

But now I'm back on track and everything is great. I learned my lesson. Anyone who knows me knows I'm super-focused and driven! That's why Ne-Yo wanted to work with me and was so disappointed the day he canceled the choreography session. It's so not like me! I can't wait for everyone to hear the music we've been working on.

I've known Ne-Yo for years, from when I was in 3LW, and he's always supported me and let me know he thought I was dope. He's always believed in my talent. I was looking for new management and took a meeting with Compound. I knew it was a perfect fit, because they REALLY believed in me! I've been a part of the family ever since then.

As for Jorge, he's my cousin, so we grew up dancing together. He's been choreographing and dancing for years. Way back to 2000 with Christina Aguilera. He's actually my dance partner in my first music video, 3LW's "No More." I was 15. He really does whip my butt into shape. Oh my God, does he. In the gym he is INSANE! He tries to kill me! He's a drill sergeant. But dance is a feeling, a vibe thing, and you can't force that. My energy was just all off that day!

Juli had her own challenges. I felt so bad for her. I just think it has to feel awful for someone to ask you to change who you are. I understand that Juli's accent may not be for every market, but I think the networks should modify and become more open minded that Latinos are about to be the majority. If they can hire someone with an English accent, then they should also be willing to hire someone with a Spanish accent. An accent is an accent. It's certainly not like we can't understand her.

And then I was so proud of her walking in the Betsey Johnson show. She looked amazing, and I'm not being biased. She was, hands down, the hottest model!
