Kim Calls the Transformation of the Mud Pit "Miraculous"
The Rusignola project turned out amazingly well, considering I didn't even want to do it! This job was just so major and the backyard was just such a MESS that I didn't think we could pull it off! But we just loved Courtnie and Damon so much that we decided to give it our best.
Outdoor spaces are so hard and this one had some serious challenges: it was a MUD PIT when we first saw it. The yard wasn't leveled and the back porch didn't even have an opening to the yard—truly bizarre! This job took a long time and way more hours than we had budgeted for this job, but I really think the end result was miraculous.
The "fam-bana" was so well-made. I feel like they could rent it out as a guest house! And that outdoor kitchen was BEYOND. But my favorite design element was the outdoor fireplace—I'm so jealous! I need to have the guys build me one of those, STAT!
This was one of my favorite jobs of the season. The guys had so much fun driving the tractor, and I just loved spending time with Damon and Courtnie. They were the sweetest, kindest people, and that's one of my favorite things about my job—meeting cool, new people!
