Gwen Stefani's been preaching this lip gospel for years, and now it seems like the rest of us are about to come around.

Wine-stained lips are making a comeback this fall—dominating runways (we're mesmerized by this intense lip and brow combo at the Jason Wu show) and red carpets (Rihanna and Taylor Swift rocked the classic look at the 2012 VMAs).

Luckily there's no one perfect crushed-grape shade, so you get to dabble until you find the hue that suits you best: burgundy, Tuscan red, blush—the list is endless.

Just keep your lips well moisturized. This is about a lush red pout, not a matte pucker.
