Warm Bodies Star Cory Hardrict Heats Up the Red Carpet
Cory Hardrict is killing it on the movie scene these days. His latest film, Warm Bodies, is currently No. 1 at the box office, and he's set to star alongside Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard in the highly anticipated Lovelace, due out later this year. We caught up with Cory, who will be celebrating his 5th wedding anniversary with wife Tia in April, to chat about his style.
How has your personal style evolved over the years?
Before, I would go for the baggy clothes. Now that I'm older, I like the European look. I like clothes that fit me properly.
What do you like to wear when your not in the spotlight?
I am a T-shirt and jeans guy. I am very simple. I love The Gap and Urban Outfitters. However, I splurge at Louis Vuitton and Gucci for my accessories. I like nice jackets, glasses and shoes.
How would you describe your look for the red carpet?
I love wearing John Varvatos suits to premieres. I love the way this clothes fit me. I try to look clean and simple. I don't really take too many risks on the red carpet. I'll try to complement what my wife Tia has on. I switch up my ties based on what she's wearing.
Who are your style icons?
I'm inspired by Kanye West in that I wear fitted leathers. I like how David Beckham incorporates his family. He's always has his kids with him. That's the father I want to be. I want to spend time with Cree and let him see the world as much as possible.
What do you want to accomplish with your acting career?
I want to win an Oscar. I will win and Oscar one day. It is just a matter of time. I want to continue on the path of being great at what I do. As long as it's great material, I am down. I just want to go in the direction of doing universal projects that the entire world can embrace. I want to do colorless work, like Will Smith. Will Smith is still one of the biggest movies stars there is to me. You don't see him all the time, but when you see him, it is huge.
