The Twins' NYC Trip Reminds Jerome of Fun Times in the City

Well, this season of Tia & Tamera has taken off! It's great to see the girls embrace their individuality, while working in the same business—with the same face!

The girls are clearly about their business. Seeing them in New York City brings back personal memories of the three of us attending Knicks games, or us being chased into a Duane Reade by a mob of Sister, Sister fans all because Tia and Tamera mistakenly decided not to listen to me and we snuck out without security. They had so much confidence in me as their unofficial bodyguard that they decided to leave the real security at the hotel. Now, that was a reality show situation! I also see that the girls still have difficulty with crossing NYC streets. OK, I digress...

Tia is getting a great response from her first book, Oh Baby!. As I've mentioned before, I've given Tia the nickname Wonder Woman. That lady wrote a book and carried a BREECH baby through a not-so-easy first pregnancy—not to mention, she was successful at both! Linda Carter (the original Wonder Woman) has nothing on her. Tia clearly had something to prove to herself, as well as to Tamera, when she indulged in the NYC nightlife and revived her inner party girl...shots included!

In true Tia and Tamera style, the girls gave us more TMI moments—the new one courtesy of Tia. Why she felt the need to share that she failed to pack underwear is truly beyond me. But leave it to Tamera to ask her sister if she turned the underwear inside out. *blank stare* REALLY?! Yet again, that's why the world loves these two.

I love that Tamera is breaking out of the "sweet twin" mold and really making her mark as a sophisicated, sassy yet elegant woman. It was great to see her move past her nervousness to support and pitch herself to fashion editors. I'm sure the feedback that she received will give her the courage to continue on that journey. Also, watching Tamera promote Century Oak Wine was very funny. Anyone who knows her is familiar with her fondness for the vino!
