Tia & Tamera's Gluten-Free Cupcake Fiasco
On tonight's episode of Tia & Tamera, Tia was determined to make Cree a gluten-free cake for his first birthday party—despite having never baked a cake in her life! So, avid baker Tamera offered to help. They started off small and made gluten-free cupcakes as a test run. It didn't turn out so well. Tia: The gluten-free cupcakes Tamera and I made were disgusting! They were just terrible. I will definitely not be making anymore of those. However, the store-bought ones I've tried are really, really good. I'll leave it up to the professionals from now on!
Tamera: Oh my gosh, the gluten-free cupcakes Tia and I baked tasted like crap! They tasted like concrete, if concrete had the texture of cake. They were very dry and tasteless. The frosting was bad, too. It had this weird aftertaste. Obviously, I had tasted some pretty good gluten-free stuff. If Tia wanted a gluten-free cake for Cree's party, it was important that they she have a professional make it.
