Tamera Dishes on Pampering Your Pet
I've had my Shih Tzu-Lhasa Apso mix Milano for almost 10 years now (that's old age in dog years!), so I know a thing or two about how to make your little buddy happy. He's my best friend.
When I have to travel and he's not with me, there's definitely heartbreak felt by the both of us. As you saw on an episode of Tia & Tamera this season, I immediately bought Milano a new toy after being away from him. Milano loves toys. He loves to play. He loves to interact. When Adam comes home, he's ready to go! My advice to new dog owners is to not be afraid to splurge on toys. Even if the toys get gross and torn, just buy new ones! They will make your pooch happy.
Another major tip for pampering you pet is to buy food that your four-legged pal really likes. You want your pet to eat the best food. Milano has all organic food. He loves lamb! So, figure out what your furry friend loves—chicken or beef or whatever—and go for that.
Finally, make sure you groom your dog. Your dog is an extension of who you are, and you don't want him or her to be gross and nasty. I often take Milano to Sparky's to keep him looking his best.
