Spencer: Great Taste in Style…and in Women?

Heartthrob Spencer Matthews has dashing style. But that was not always the case. "I used to be fat and hugely unpopular so I guess my style had nowhere to go but up!" the star of Made in Chelsea admits. Today he is exceedingly particular about his wardrobe. "I never wear trainers, or ‘sneakers' as you guys call them," he says, adding, "I've always had a bit of a problem with short-sleeved shirts, which I consider staple adult American-wear." Spencer's discerning eye doesn't stop at himself, of course. He's just as opinionated about how women present themselves. "The biggest mistake I see women make with fashion is overdoing it on the makeup front," he says. "I am a firm believer of natural beauty, and find it a shame when women effectively cover up their looks." That said, his preference for what women wear clothing-wise is "figure-hugging, elegant eveningwear. During the day: "anything sexy."
