WE SAY: Keep reading for reviews from the editors.
Pros: I tend to have very dry lips, which is why I usually use Chapstick, but DuWop's self-adjusting lipsticks were incredibly moisturizing—it didn't even feel like I had lipstick on! I have an olive complexion, and the bubblegum-esque Private Pink and reddish Private Coral looked great on me. The colors have the texture and look of a stain but are still shiny, and they photograph really well since the formulas are hydrating and give that overall healthy appearance.
Cons: You have to swipe the lipsticks across your lips quite a few times before you get a really bright color, but once you get it, you'll be mesmerized by the vibrant shade. —Danielle
Pros: I usually steer away from lipsticks because they can be too dry and can crease as the day goes on. That being said, I've been looking for the perfect coral for spring to punch up my makeup palette, and I definitely found it. The colors were bold but pretty, and I was shocked that the Private Pink and Private Coral looked perfectly matched with my pale skin tone. They were also super creamy, which made my lips feel moisturized all day.
Cons: It took a few test runs to get the lipsticks layered just right and not look like the pigment was spotty. While they didn't dry out my lips, I definitely recommend a quick exfoliation or layer of balm first so the color goes on smoother. —Emily
Pros: I really loved the fresh, poppy colors, and they lasted for a while. I usually have to constantly reapply lipstick throughout the day, but I only had to reapply these twice—a record for me!
Cons: This has been a common problem between me and lipsticks, but it dried out my lips like crazy. I realized I could offset this, though, by applying Chapstick on top of it. —Anita
BOTTOM LINE: The bold colors looked pretty on every skin tone, and unlike many lipsticks, they're very moisurizing!
