Oops! Jaime King & Nicky Hilton in the Same Dress, Same Time

The biggest fashion faux pas is becoming the biggest trend these days! At last night's UK Style by French Connection launch party at the Lexington Social House in Hollywood, two sets of celebrities wore the same dress.  

Brooke Burke and Carmen Electra both stepped out in the affordable collection's safari drape-neck frock. But it was Jaime King and Nicky Hilton who found themselves on the red carpet at the same time in the same cheetah all-over sequin shift. Embarrassing, right? Not exactly.

"I thought it was fun! Nicky's a really good friend of mine," Jaime told mystyle after the good sports laughed it off in front of photogs. "I love seeing how two people can choose the same thing, but wear it a totally different way. And, by the way, that says a lot about the clothes, too."

Good point! But we're still not convinced the twinsie trend is right for us. Anyway...

The actress, who was drawn to the design's elegant '60s cut, said she would wear the dress with black tights and chunky Burberry Lucite bracelets to another occasion. "You want to see that happen with clothes. I want to know that I can wear something a million different ways!"

So what did Nicky have to say about the whole matter?

Well, the model-turned-designer told us: "It was funny! Jaime looks great!" But then we saw her tweet, "My girl @Jaime_King + I committed the ultimate fashion crime. Showing up at the SAME event in the SAME dress!"

Thanks for admitting it, Nicky! But we have to correct you. You committed the ultimate fashion crime—again!

Back in September, she wore the same Alice + Olivia long-sleeve goddess dress as Jenna Dewan (though in a different color) to the ARCADE Boutique fashion show.

This time, the heiress made her look slightly different by rocking the number with a backwards belt. "I like fitted things," explained Nicky, who blames her dress choice on being "obsessed with leopard, sequins and minis."
