Olivia Weighs In on Tracy and Gigi's Epic Fight
I don't know what goes on besides the things that I'm a part of, so I only saw Gigi confront Tracy while watching the last episode. All Gigi said was, "I can imagine you saying something like that," and Tracy bounced and bugged out. That's insane! Like, really? Your friend can't be brutally honest with you? That's what friends are for!
When I saw that, I was just like, "What the hell?" Obviously, if Tracy knew the whole story, then I could understand that reaction a little more. But the fact was that all Gigi said was that, and it caused Tracy to say the friendship's over. I feel like Tracy judged Gigi way too fast for somebody she considers one of her best friends. You're going to make the girl your bridesmaid, but the second she says, "I can imagine you saying something like that," Tracy is just out? That right there made me question how much Tracy really did consider Gigi a friend. She must have had something in the back of her head. I just can't imagine X-ing Jackie out that quickly.
Honestly, I've got to give Gigi a little credit. Even though my jaw completely dropped with the fact that Gigi was so brutally honest with Tracy, why aren't Tracy's real friends doing the same? Why are Tracy's bridesmaids and friends she's known for years upon years all going along with this? Why is Gigi the only one actually standing up and being like, "Open your eyes"?
I've been in situations that are similar with my friends, and you've got to tell them what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. Tracy's making a lifelong decision right now, and I feel like everyone's too intimidated to say something to her. Gigi was for a long time, too. I saw how Gigi was Tracy's friend and had all these things she wanted to say to her but wouldn't say to her face. It made me wonder if all of Tracy's friends are just intimidated by her and scared to tell the truth.
That's just my two cents. I'm an outsider looking in.
