Mike Talks Adina's Many Bags & Modeling in His Underwear
It was quite the endeavor to transform Adina's 1,000-square-foot closet. I have about a 10 square-foot-closet and it's difficult for me to manage that. But organization is my forté, so I was happy to help someone organize their life. If I hang something in my closet, I can tell what two shirts are in between. That's just how my mind works. Most people don't think like that. It liked that we installed the glass in the doors, so that Adina could see what she had.
Speaking of Adina's wardrobe, I thought I had a lot of stuff! Adina blew me away. She probably had $500,000 worth of handbags. That's bewildering. I don't care how much I love the girl: I can't see myself buying an $80,000 Birkin for a girl. I don't think it's worth it. It must've taken us four hours to unpack everything.
I really liked Kim's design. She understood the client. She may not necessarily like pink, but Adina likes pink, so she incorporated that into the space. One of my favorite things projects to do was assist Gage with the shoe and purse vault door. Gage is really good at that kind of thing and I enjoyed learning from him.
In this episode, I had a Calvin Klein showroom undewear gig, which means I'm modeling the next line to show it off to the buyers of stores. Calvin Klein is my No. 1 client. I thoroughly enjoy working for them. I work for them dozens and dozens of times each year. I've been their main guy for over a year now. It's one of the biggest things you can do as a model. The guy I replaced had been doing it for 10 years. It's a two week application to get hired. I like using my smarts with the modeling, so I reviewed and memorizing my answers before I went in to talk to them.
Underwear modeling is the most difficult kind of modeling to do because you can't just have your face or your body on point. Both have to look their best. You can't just be in really good shape, you have to have the model face. With that, comes determination because it's not easy to get into the most ripped shape to do what I'm doing. I worked years to get the body that I have.
As you all saw, I took a break from working on Adina's closet and worked out in her living room to make sure that I was physically ready for my Calvin Klein underwear gig.
In case you were wondering: I don't prefer boxers or briefs! I like trunks. However, if I'm sleeping, it's boxers. If I'm walking around, it's trunks, which is closer to briefs. I like solid color underwear, specifically black. Everything about my wardrobe is black.
My tip for getting your work out in anywhere, anytime is to get back to the basics. I find time in my busy schedule to do push-ups, sit-ups and dips. It's the stuff you can do just using your body weight as resistance.
