Leslie: "I Wasn't Entirely Convinced Kalyn Was Sick..."

I wasn't entirely convinced Kalyn was sick. I thought she just didn't want to work with me at Life's a Pageant. We were both upset over the vicious lies regarding Kalyn's personal life—lies that have been industriously circulated by Whitney and endorsed by Bonnie—so I thought it best not to push Kalyn. 

When I received the call from Tyler that Kalyn was in the hospital, my heart sank. As resilient as Kalyn appears, I should have realized that she is still a teen and can only endure so much malicious taunting by Whitney, the consummate bullier, who of course was mentored and encouraged by her mother, the queen of bullies. Ever optimistic, I thought I could reason with Bonnie at her book event. I was sorely mistaken. It was simply another opportunity for Bonnie to discredit Kalyn in front of an audience. 

Bonnie of course was completely wrong in her medical assessment of Kalyn, and denies any responsibility for the undue stress she and Whitney have placed upon Kalyn. As it turns out, Kalyn has a kidney condition that has been monitored since she was a small child. In her case, the kidney infection had nothing to do with sexual activity.
