Leslie Celebrates Kalyn's Renewal

Kalyn has endured much in her young life. I am blessed that she has allowed me the privilege of being her honorary godmother. Sadly, Kalyn's highly flirtatious behavior gave "gossips" ammunition to viciously suggest that she had become promiscuous. Kalyn has now come to realize that she must guard her reputation.

I believe that Kalyn's mom Terry deep down is a good sort of woman. Terry shared with me that she, too, had made some significant changes to her life and she dearly wanted to reconnect with her daughter. As a woman of faith, I felt it was time to have Kalyn baptized. With her whole heart Terry gave her consent.

Joel Osteen's sister, April Osteen Simons, has a wonderful Spirit-filled ministry here in Dallas. A meeting with Pastor April resulted in her agreeing to baptize our beautiful Kalyn.

Terry herself had been recently baptized. And, deeply felt she wanted to reach out to Kalyn in reconciliation. It was not be. God is a God of reconciliation and the end of this story is yet to be told.

Since her baptism, Kalyn has grown and flourished. She is a remarkable young woman. God is good.
