Lesley's Fashion Fact: "I Am a Very Emotional Shopper"

What trends are you most looking forward to for 2013?
I am loving the more minimalistic silhouettes and darker shades, as well as the classic contrast of black and white that is coming back in a big way this spring.

Who are your favorite designers?
Over the last two years, I have been obsessed with Lanvin and Givenchy, and I still can't get over Gucci Fall/Winter 2011.

What criteria do you have when looking for shoes and handbags?
I tend to not shop for what I "need" or the basics and generally go with what catches my eye in any given moment. I am a very emotional shopper in that way. At one point, this meant that I did not own one basic pair of black pumps or a simple black bag! Lately, however, I have been trying to change that. Now I lean towards items that are more streamlined and classic and can be mixed with dramatic pieces.

What kinds of dresses do you prefer?
Something that is fitted at the waist. I am curvy and short, so if something is too boxy, it's just not flattering.

What do you look for when shopping for a jacket?
The fit across the shoulders, where it ends on my body and how it falls in front. I also ask myself if it is slimming or adds bulk.

What is the best styling tip you've learned from working at JustFab?
Play up your best assets—whatever makes you feel beautiful and like the best version of you. And don't be afraid to take a risk! Clothing is not permanent and should evolve with you.
