Just Call Kahdijiha a Decorating Diva!

What are some of your passions in life?
I love decorating! That's my passion! I have an eye for it. I want to change my house already, and it's been the way it is for a year.
What is the decor like in your home?
The decor of my home is glam chic. I have a lot of mirrored pieces. I have a lot of silver, shiny accents. Surprisingly, I didn't go with pink. I did a royal purple with turquoise and lots of silvers.
What would we find in your bedroom?
I have a chocolate bed with a leather headboard that's comprised of squares. It's really nice. I have a floor-length mirror that has stones all the way around it. I love trying on clothes in front of it. Honestly, I think my bedroom is the one place in my home that is lacking. It's the last room that still needs to be done because I wanted everything else in my home to be perfect.
Do you enjoy building things like your mom does?
Yes! I like to make anything, even if it's doing something with my walls. For instance, I put a wall decal of a woman's face on a canvas and painted a turquoise box around it so that it looks like an actual picture.
What do you like to buy for your home?
I like to buy accent pieces. I love the little glam touches. For example, my placemats aren't ordinary placemats. They're scalloped and have purple and black beads throughout.
What are your favorite kitchen gadgets?
I have the Magic Bullet to make smoothies. I love that to death. I even take it with me because it's portable. I also love my Cook Magic talking microwave. It's so fun!
Where do you like to shop for furniture and accessories?
I love to shop at By Design for furniture and Z Gallerie for accessories. By Design carries such modern and contemporary pieces with a lot of straight edges. Z Gallerie always has shiny and sparkly things, which is what I like.
Is there a big ticket item you want to buy?
I should probably get my white couch before I have kids because they're gonna ruin it. I really want to get a white couch!
