Glam Fairy Alexa Prisco Doesn't Follow Rules!

To say the Glam Fairy has a lot up her winged-sleeve this new season would be an understatement. Alexa Prisco's determined to grow her business, so she launches Glam Academy (a makeup training program), takes on bigger events and hires more staff. Did we mention she has to plan her wedding? But the creative genius' empire isn't the only thing expanding—so is her waistline. Yep, Alexa is pregnant! Before you tune in for all that (the premiere is this Sunday at 9/8c on Style!), catch up with the radiant mom-to-be below!

How would you describe your personal style?
I think that it's really important to stand out. I don't follow rules. If I feel like wearing something, I will just wear it.

What do you look for when shopping for clothes?
The first thing I look for is good stitching; it doesn't even matter who makes it. I can see crappy stitching right off the bat. I want a garment that's going to last. I also look at detail and craftsmanship. I think about all that stuff. I look for pops of color. I like funkiness. I like clothes to be different.

What kinds of dresses work for your body type?
I love empire waists and relatively low-cut dresses. I'm short, so I need minidresses. Black Halo makes incredible ones.

Which jacket styles do you absolutely love?
I love great leather bomber jackets and sharp, modern blazers. It's important to invest in your jackets and find something with incredible leather, great materials, good stitching, etc. Outerwear should last you your lifetime, because it only gets better with every year. So, the structure shouldn't be so completely over-the-top.

What's your purse personality? What do you like?
Lately, I have been getting into LV monogram. I love the iconic classics and how major celebrities had input on the designs. I also love more over-the-top bags, like the Gucci Indie metallic, which I have and love! The statement pieces of each designer that no one has are my must-haves of the year.

What catches your eye when in comes to bling?
I love earrings! Roni Blanshay is one of my favorite earring designers. I love big, bold earrings, especially in gold. I also love fabulous stacks of bangles, big fun rings—no stupid animals—and long pendant necklaces for layering.

You're engaged now! What do you love about your ring?
The center stone is a little over three karats. The band/setting is a little over a karat. Together, it's a little over four karats. I originally thought I was going to do a cushion, but I saw this stone and I was like, Waaaaait! It's round. It's a really good cut, really good clarity. We got it from Bentley's Fine Jewelers. I picked out everything.

What sorts of pieces are in your eyewear collection?
I have amazing D&G cat-eye glasses to wear when I don't want to wear my contacts. I also have really cool oversized Gucci sunglasses. I think a great pair of designer sunglasses is a must-have, especially when they are superoversized. That way, you can just wear lip gloss and still look fabulous!

How do you like to do your nails?
I like bright colors, especially Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics nail polish. I love color gel as well. When I first got engaged, I got a small extension on my nails and did baby pink, but now that I am used to my ring, I am back to either really bright colors in the summer and black or dark brown for all the other seasons.

What's your favorite thing to buy for you home?
I love to decorate, but I would say the one consistent item I buy is home fragrance. I love to constantly test out new candles and essential oils to really hone in on that perfect cozy scent. Sabon is my new favorite.

Describe what your interior décor style is like.
I have a comfy, modern style. I love amazing, modern pieces paired with classic, vintage elements. Investing in a few more expensive, fabulous statement pieces like a bold couch will separate your space from classic cookie-cutter living rooms. A modern couch paired with fun, fluffy pillows is a great way to make your space personal and comfy.

Do you like to entertain or host parties?
Im a superquiet person. When I was younger, I used to enjoy parties and go out, but I just became very introverted, and groups of people give me anxiety.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I really love to shop and I love to play with my dogs. I love to go out to dinner with my fiancé—we are huge foodies.

How do you like to relax and unwind?
I love to lounge in oversized sweats underneath a big, fluffy comforter in ice cold air conditioning while watching a great horror movie!

Do you consider yourself to be a techy?
I love any Apple device. I am a Mac girl all the way! I have two MacBook Pros, two iPhones, ipads and a MacBook Air. I am obsessed!

How do you stay fit? What's your fitness regimen like?
Wise food choices is a must. I danced for 15 years, so my muscle memory is definitely retained in my limbs. I would like to work out more, but my schedule is pretty overwhelming, so I really don't get the chance.

What are you currently obsessed with?
Since I'm pregnant, my recent obsession is piping hot, oily, fresh-out-of-the-oven, crispy plain pizza!

If your house was on fire, what's the one thing you would take from your closet?
I would probably take a laundry basket and start dumping all my Louboutins in.
