Giuliana Rancic's New Year's Resolutions for a Happier You
The dreaded New Year's Resolutions. Every year we make ‘em and every year we break ‘em.
Eat better, workout harder, make more money, be nicer to your family…while all these are important, you're not going to find them on this list. We all want to be "better," but this year we're throwing out the traditional and resolving simply to be happy. So sit back, grab that glass of wine, and try at least one idea on this list…then let the happiness roll on in.
Travel somewhere new. It doesn't matter if it's 2 or 20 hours away; just make sure you get there and explore. A new movie theater doesn't count.
Make the first move and ask that cutie out.
Cut your hair in a new way. Sure we all remember the Felicity debacle, but it's hair—it grows back. Who knows? It could be the first step to a fab new you. Or the first step to finding a fab new hat.
Try a new position. We're not talking Cirque du Soleil, just mix it up!
Get those pictures on your digital camera developed…finally.
Sing out loud—in the shower, in your car, at karaoke, in a library…wherever!
Splurge on something. Yes, we all love Forever 21, but we're talking about something extra nice. Maybe even something that sparkles. Who says you have to wait for the guy?
Log off Facebook and go visit a friend in person.
Organize your messy closet. If you have clutter in your life, you will have clutter in your mind.
Play hooky from work.
Clean out your bathroom drawers. No, you will never use that blue eyeshadow from 2006.
Take a bubble bath. Mmm…bubbles.
Tell someone you like them—even if it's a little embarrassing.
Eat two deserts without any regret (and fine, hit the gym a little harder tomorrow).
And finally: have a fun, safe, superfab night!
