What does your job as in-house stylist for JustFab entail?
I style every shoot from e-mail newsletters to commercials. I make sure that the clothes match the merchandise and are on-trend and fashion-forward.
What are the best and worst parts about working at JustFab?
The best part is doing what I love, and that's working in fashion. Getting to be out in the stores feeling fabrics and seeing the newest collections is a dream come true. The hardest part is that sometimes jobs fall back-to-back, so we might shoot a lot of looks in just a couple of days. I may end up making 150 looks work in just a matter of a day!
What made you want to get into fashion?
When I was a little girl, I played dress-up with my mom and grandma's clothes. Then as I got older, they both taught me how to sew, and I never looked back from that moment.
How would you describe your style?
My style is ever changing. Last week, I was really street, with caps and my Nike sky-highs. This week, I am really girly with frilly skirts and cropped jackets. I think that is why I became a stylist, so I could wear everything! Maybe one day I will settled down with a singular style, but as for now, I am trying a lot of different things.
Do you have a favorite event or shoot from your time at JustFab?
Iconic bags, which is not out yet, but I really loved the model Lana and her movement. It's all about a model and how well she moves in front of the camera. And I loved the wardrobe! I used this amazing Rachel Zoe pantsuit and gorg Karen Millen dresses. The set was cut-out shapes, and Lana would stick her body, shoe and bag through the cut-outs. I can't wait for you all to see it!
What is your best styling tip for JustFab (and all fabulous!) girls?
I think a lot of girls get overwhelmed by fashion. They look at the runways and trend reports and say, "Yikes! This is too much for me!" My tip would be to just pull one trend or one item out of the magazine that you like and incorporate it into your wardrobe. You don't have to be on-trend every day, but you can slowly pick a new trend or inspiration and try it out every week.
Who do you get along best with at work?
Lianca! She is not only my favorite but also one of my very good friends. We are texting nonstop on the weekends.
What are some of your passions in life?
I run a website called The Fashion Sight with my boyfriend. I talk fashion and post up-to-date fashion trends, but my favorite part is when we venture out of Los Angeles, and my boyfriend takes images of me with clothes I am dying over. We go to the coolest locations and have the best time. We love travelling and seeing new places, and I still get to play with clothes, which I love!
What are your must-have travel essentials?
Baggies and mini everything! You always need baggies wherever you go—they can be for trash or separating all of your goodies. They are just a wonderful thing.
Do you have a signature scent?
Faith. It's an essential oil from Madison, a little boutique on Third Street in Los Angeles.
