Donny Discusses Parts Modeling
I never considered parts modeling prior to Sandy and Shane mentioning it. It was so alien to me. In fact, I still find it strange, but funny.
I was interested in finding out more about parts modeling because I love a good challenge. That's why I met with Sandy and Shane's parts agent, Dani, who was an absolute sweetheart! I'm used to being stared at, so it didn't freak me out at all when she was checking me out. Personally, I love all of my parts the same; no part is better than the other. They're all like my children!
The photo shoot came up before I even had time to get my nails cleaned up, but I was positive that I'd do well. It was a challenge to try to make my parts either more commercial or fashion rather than using my body and facial expression! In the end, I was pleased with how the pics turned out, but they could always be better...the key is consistence, focus and awareness to grow.
Since then, I've had a few parts modeling gigs. But I'm now sticking to fashion modeling, which pays a lot more. I don't have the luxury to do both. I actually still use what I learned from parts for fashion modeling. Dani is awesome and it was a really fun experience!
