AJ Throws a Birthday Blowout

There was a lot of pressure on to throw together an extravagant birthday bash so I could impress the Ebony editor, but in my haste to that, I forgot to just relax and enjoy myself. It was hard to let go because I was so concerned about getting media and press from the magazine editor. I wanted everything to be absolutely perfect, and before I knew it, I was stressing myself out. In the end, I allowed myself to just bask in the moment.

I was very touched and my heart was overwhelmed by how much my staff wanted my birthday to be special, and it felt good to know that they had my best interests at heart. The best part of my birthday was just all the love I was surrounded by. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to share it with all my friends and loved ones.

What I was hoping to accomplish was the time of my life and exposure to the Ebony magazine editor. I was able to do both of those things.

Q is my cousin and right-hand girl. She's very passionate about what she does, and at times, she can prioritize the salon over everything else, but I'll never give her anything she can't handle. I would never jeopardize her husband or her family. No job is ever that important.

Malik has no reason to be concerned about the amount of time and energy she puts into the salon. Her family is more important than anything.
