When did your love affair with all things fashion start?
When I was 13-years-old, I really started to take notice of the things that my mother, sisters, aunts and other women around me would wear. It was a way for each of them to express who they were individually. I believe that a person's style evokes moods, attitudes and statements. It was visual communication.
How did you develop your personal style?
I developed my sense of style around the age of 17. Being a twin often leads to dressing alike, sharing a certain style aesthetic and often going with a general idea. Once I got a little older, I tried some things on my own and there was no turning back from it. However, my sister and I do have similar taste—FABULOUS!
How do you describe your style as it is today?
My style is sexy and a bit over-the-top. I like to call it "excessive luxe." I love sparkly and shiny accessories. I'm a bling girl. I love to mix and match pieces, brands and designers. Style is about creating your own interpretation of fun and fabulous!
Which fashionable figures do you look up to?
I respect the style of so many women, including Kerry Washington. My No. 1 style muse right now is Michelle Obama. She makes fashion effortless and easy while being extremely fashionable.
What kinds of dresses do you like to wear?
I like to show off my waist, so I look for dresses that fit and enhance my shape. I work hard in the gym, so I like to flaunt it!
What do you look for when shopping for a jacket?
The fit! The way a jacket fits can make or break the look. I am obsessed with tailoring!
What types of handbags do you like to carry?
I am an avid supporter of the Louis Vuitton brand. Their pieces are classic and never loose their appeal. I prefer big bags. I can't do anything with a small bag except put some makeup in it.
What criteria do you have when it comes to shoes?
My favorite shoe right now is a 5-inch round-toe platform. There are a few designers that have great ones, like Brian Atwood, but I'm just a fan of the style in general.
What's your signature scent?
Anything from the Bond No. 9 portfolio. I'm a perfume whore. I love all perfume! I get giddy thinking about it!
How do you like you nails to be done?
I like the CND Shellac Gel. I love bright colors and glitter. I don't like a French manicure—that's safe. I like bold. If it's not bold, then I like neutral, like nude.
What has been your most memorable splurge?
It would have to be buying two different cars at one time. I'm still having buyer's remorse, but I love whipping through the city in either of them. Beep, beep!
What is your must-have travel essential?
I have to have my poncho wrap, pillow and "fun socks." When I say "fun socks," they can be Sponge Bob, they can be hearts…I have gray-and-pink socks that have a tongue sticking out. If not those, then crochet socks that look like ballerina shoes. Fun socks make me feel comfortable. Also, when I get to the hotels, I use my own satin pillowcase. Sometimes, I have to have a satin sheet and a top sheet. But I always travel with that satin pillowcase.
What's your favorite flower and why?
I love a sunflower. It can brighten up your day. If I can find red sunflowers, I'm happy.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
If I could shop, travel and laugh all day, everyday, I would!
What do the people closest to you know you for?
They know me for being honest, loving, verbal and giving.
