Anthony Gets Olivia to Make a Salon Comeback—But Will it Stick?
Every month, Anthony Robert Salon holds an event called the Blowout Lounge. Women pay one price for a conditioning treatment blowout that also includes shopping with vendors and appetizers during a girls night out. With my hopes of going bigger, I wanted to add makeup to the latest event.
Obviously, the first makeup artist I thought of was Olivia. I know she enjoys being on her own, but you can't be out of the salon all of the time. The salon keeps you fresh!
So, I decided to ask her if she'd consider being my go-to girl for special events like the Blowout Lounge. I was shocked when she gave me so much push back! But thanks to my constant pressure, I got her to agree to do at least this one event.
As if adding more vendors and having Olivia back in the salon with Tracy wasn't enough to give me agita, I then had Filly tell me that he couldn't be there to manage the event because he had an underwear modeling shoot scheduled for the same night. Now, I don't want to stand in the way of Filly's dreams but this salon is my dream, and I don't want anyone standing in my way either. Once Filly told me that he had it all under control, though, I felt much better.
Despite her original concerns, I know that Olivia enjoyed being back in the salon. I hope she will be more willing to do future events with me because having her there makes us a more complete salon. Plus, she and Tracy actually got along, so hopefully they have put their differences aside so that we can all grow together.
Overall, the event went off better than any in the past. The vendors were amazing and my staff all came through—well, except for the absent Gioves!
