Andrea Talks Being at the Hospital for Baby Aden's Birth

We interviewed the wonderful Andrea Regalado about the news of best friend Tamera Mowry-Housley finally giving birth to Baby Aden.

Which family and friends were at the hospital?
Tamera and Adam had a small cheering section in the waiting room that included myself, their parents, Tia and Tahj.

How were you feeling prior to Aden's arrival?
Oh my gosh, I was a ball of excitement and anxiety! It's not easy knowing your friend is going through so much pain, even if you know a huge blessing is coming at the end of it. I couldn't sit still. I was praying, kept asking people if they needed anything, got food for them, ran errands for Adam as well as gave Tia, Mrs. Mowry and our friend Talitha Phillips massages. I couldn't just sit around and do nothing.

How do you feel now that Tamera's a mom?
You know, it's kind of funny. People keep asking me how I feel now that Tamera has a baby. They ask if I'm worried that things are going to change. Duh! I know things are going to change! Children change your life forever, but that doesn't mean you lose your friendships. I was a little anxious about the changes at first, but now I'm not worried at all. Most of my closest friends have kids and I love them. I spend a lot of time with them and treat them like they are my own niece and nephews. I'm excited to have a new little buddy to hang out with! Aden has already brought so much joy to our lives and now he gets to join in on all our fun!

What do you think of the name Aden?
I love his name. Tamera has wanted to name her baby boy Aden since I met her in college. It is really cool that her husband ended up having a name that starts with "A," so she could carry on the baby naming tradition in her family. Some things are meant to be!

How does Aden look? Who does he resemble more—his mom or dad?
Aden is absolutely adorable. He is a big, strong, healthy boy with cheeks you want to kiss all day! He looks like a perfect mix between Tamera and Adam. I saw baby pictures of Adam and Tamera last night and he looks like both of them! Some angles he looks like Tamera, and some he looks like his daddy. He is so precious!
