Andrea Recaps the Season-Two Finale
Hola!
Happy New Year! I've been so busy with work that I've been slacking in my blogging duties. I hope you all can forgive me :) What did you think about the season finale? I can't believe it's over. So many things have happened this season—the biggest being the birth of my little buddy Aden. Isn't he just precious?
First things first: TAMERA MOWRY, I cannot believe you wanted Jerome to buy your pregnancy panties, nursing bras and evening primrose oil! That is just cruel. Hahaha! You know Tia and I would have helped you in a second, you just wanted to torture him. Poor Jerome. His cousin just likes messing with him. Well, at least Jerome set up some boundaries and said "no" to pantyliners. "Your cooch is not my business!" That line had me cracking up!
I'm glad Tamera shared her process of getting ready for baby Aden's arrival with you. She did everything she could to be prepared, organized and ready for her son. She talked to many experts, friends, family and doctors. She also read a lot of books. I learned a lot about pregnancy and babies by going through this with Tamera. One of the things I learned is that everyone has an opinion about what a pregnant woman should and shouldn't do, and since they all think their way is right, they all take things personally when you decide not to do things their way. Tia wasn't the only one who felt like that. Tamera got it from all sorts of people. I learned that it's OK to listen to advice (solicited or not) and then pick what works best for you. I commend Tamera for taking the information from all these sources, being able to stand up for herself and do what she thinks is best for her family at this point in time.
I am very proud of the girls for learning to communicate with each other effectively. They've been working on this since college and I'm so happy to see it all finally coming together. Tia was open and talked to Tamera about her feelings. She told Tamera that she was hurt because she felt that Tamera always took her doula's advice over hers. Tia felt like her sister didn't think her opinions were valid and she was open about it. Tamera was able to explain that she does appreciate Tia's opinion and does take her advice, but was able to communicate that she wasn't always going to agree with her sister and that Tia shouldn't take it personally. They were able to talk without it becoming a huge argument. This is progress, ladies. Keep it up!
I'm glad they were able to clear the air before their meeting with Destination Maternity. They rocked that meeting! I am extremely happy for them and can't wait to start buying Milky for all my pregnant friends and family—you all should, too!
How adorable is baby Aden? That baby is too cute for words. His birth may not have gone according to plan, but he is healthy and that's all that matters. That night in the hospital was an adventure. We all just wanted him to come out safely. When I finally got to see his face, my heart just melted. Aden continues to melt my heart. I love going over to spend time with the Housleys. We have so much fun. Aden lights up the room! He seriously talks to you with his eyes. He has his mommy's facial expressions and is already such a little character. I can't wait for you to see more of him next season. Until then, I pray God's best for your lives.
Besos,
Andrea
