Tia & Tamera Sizzle on the Cover of Essence's "Career Success" Issue
Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley are living, breathing examples of women who haven't allowed their professional goals to fall by the wayside just because they had a child. They're flaunting precisely that on the cover of Essence's April "Career Success Guide" issue where the vibrantly dressed business women are looking like they're having the time of their lives. The beauty shot is aptly captioned: "Moms in Charge!"
"I feel sexier now, as a mother, than I ever have in my life," Tia, mother to almost 2-year-old son Cree, says inside the glossy. "I'm more in tune with my body. I don't take any crap anymore either."
Tamera, who had baby boy Aden three months ago, also sings the praises of parenthood. "I've always wanted to be a mother. I'm a nurturer, a girly girl. I know my priorities: God, family and work...When those things are in check, the work will flow."
The twins, who are shown in the mag in an equally bright outfit change but with the little ones attached to their hips, have used motherhood to their advantage. Season one and two of their reality show on the Style Network, Tia & Tamera, documented their pregnancies, and season three will showcase their lives together as new moms building their brand, which includes a product line for mothers and babies called Mama Need.
Fans can look forward to seeing more of the girls, shown above wearing boardroom-worthy blue outfits, when their show returns to Style in June. "We didn't want to do a reality show if we couldn't be real—if I couldn't be myself," Tia told Essence. "There is no 'evil twin syndrome,' though we do have evil moments."
Tia says "evil moments," we call it typical sibling disagreements.
